Allison Krusky was invited to write a blog post based on her article about produce gardens in Flint for the London School of Economics. It can be read on their blog on American Politics and Policies.
The post describes how the presence of produce gardens in neighborhoods results in better upkeep of nearby properties, and is a follow up on her recent publication.

Finally a useful research! It’s time they realised that produce gardens are nothing bad and they are actually useful and healthy. They also make the area look a lot nicer and well maintained. There are a lot more benefits than downsides.
Great work, excellent research and gardens are useful to many way like control the pollution and spread a dust free air.
