Biography
Sonia Kamat is a Research Area Specialist Lead at the University of Michigan Injury Prevention Center. Ms. Kamat manages the injury surveillance data for the SafERteens study. Before this project, she also coordinated and managed the MI-YVPC project that involved data abstraction of injury data from hospital records in Flint and Youngstown under the supervision of Dr. Carter. Ms. Kamat has worked on multiple injury prevention projects and has IRB and data management expertise. She holds an MS in Education from Virginia Tech.
